TPL patented, award-winning, super energy saving (~10% of NIR) high brightness blue direct diode laser sources is an important new venue for precise microprocessing non-ferrous materials such as Cu, Au, Al, Ag etc, because the absorption rate of Cu is 13 times higher than that of infrared (NIR) fiber laser. Two urgent needs require these products: (1) pure Cu or hetero-Cu (Cu/Al, Cu/Pb, Cu/Fe) welding, such as batteries and hairpin of EV, Cu wire of IC packaging, efficient heat exchangers of AI etc. and (2) additive manufacturing (AM) such as rocket nozzles, or new thermal materials.

Turning Point Lasers (TPL) is a new optoelectronics start-up located in Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan.
