To meet rising demand for thermoplastic composite UAVs and reduce import dependence, we developed high-performance prepregs, long-fiber thermoplastics, and hybrid molding technology. This enables UAV parts production over five times faster than thermoset processes. Ultrasonic welding replaces drilling, cutting metal use, weight, and carbon emissions by over 40%. All parts are recyclable. This strengthens Taiwan’s composite supply chain and boosts competitiveness in the global UAV market.
The Plastics Industry Development Center (PIDC), a non-profit organization in Taiwan, envisions becoming a globally recognized research and development service institute for plastics technology.
