Inactivated porcine epidemic diarrhea vaccine

The inactivated vaccine for porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) is formulated with a novel PEDV strain and an adjuvant, offering both high antigen content and superior safety. When administered to pregnant sows, the vaccine induces high anti-PEDV antibodies with no adverse effects. Nursing piglets with suckling colostrum acquire high levels of anti-PEDV antibodies that significantly reduce mortality and severity of diarrhea. Given that PED remains widespread across East and Southeast Asia, these areas are considered promising markets for this vaccine.
